ABOUT

Song10 - Bubbleman

This is an idea I've had kicking around for months but have never done anything with.

A while back the State of California announced they were suing McDonalds, Wendys, and every other fast food joint as well as every potato chip manufacturer because a chemical produced when you immerse potatoes in hot oil had been linked to cancer in lab rats. It turns out this chemical is also produced in toast and just about any food where certain starches are burned. California wanted a warning label on the side of every product that could possibly contain this chemical (as well as other damages)

I got sick of it... There is only so much paranoia you can have about food or germs before it runs your life.
(No offense to people who are genuinely OCD... I'm just referring to the ordinary person and the paranoia that's shoved down our throats by TV News and so on.)

So my superhero is really an anti-superhero. He took the path of weakness some might say... though it takes a certain level of mental strength to close yourself in a bubble voluntarily... not that I've done it.

LYRICS

Bubbleman

I once knew a man
who lived in a cave
he lined it with lead
to fend off the grave

It all give cancer
it's all so unclean
the sky is falling in
where's my vaccine

Bubbleman, Bubbleman

It's better to live an hour as a lion
than a lifetime as a worm
time to start livin' or time to start dyin'
no time to fear the germ

He sealed up his cave
closed it airtight
and ate only food
that grew in his sight

disinfect and clean
scrub away decay
in a hazmat suit
20 times a day

He thought he'd live forever
by staying inside
believed in his endeavor
until the day he died

Bubbleman, Bubbleman
