Man lots to say about this song. This is probably one of the “loudest” things I’ve done yet.

A while back I had a really bad day.. and this is what came out. It is far outside my normal scope… but hey, it’s FAWM! (=

The original Idea I had for this was much faster and more aggressive. The lyrics were a bit more wordy, but sung about twice as fast. As I worked through the song, things ended up more like this slower grungier thing. Weird how that works. The problem is of course some of the lines that scanned at the faster tempo didn’t sync the other way, so suggestions are appreciated.

As I worked with it, I also got a “That’s familiar” feeling, which I nailed down as I finished recording the bass… I ripped the verse riff off one of my old songs (from FAWM 06, if you are curious).

The drum programming got screwed up, so I had to go to a very bare bones drum part for this sort of song. If I rerecord it, I’ll go all out.

One last thing… Minnesota Nice. For those who live outside Minnesota and have never heard the expression, we in MN have this thing called Minnesota Nice, where people here are polite to a fault. We pride ourself on being “nice”… not neccessarily overly friendly or outgoing to strangers, but definitely polite. If you spend any time up here, the phrase will make sense in very short order.
