Stout and Alba Explained

sna3 (39K)

This was a song I wrote for FAWM. I had been looking for inspiriation and Jen and I have 2 cats, as show above. Stout is black and white, looking very much like Sylvester the Cat of Looney Tunes fame, and Alba is the gray tabby.

I wanted to write a fun song and so I took a page from the Straycats and wrote Stout and Alba.

The picture above is a recent picture. The ones on the album are from when we first got them.

Our cats are amazing, to me, in that they don't have a care in the world, except for their immediate desires. They don't worry about jobs they hate or bills they don't want to pay. There's a moral in there somewhere, but I have temporarily misplaced it. (=

Stout and Alba

Little black fur
Swish tail so light
Don't need to worry
Don't need to fight
If you get dinner
Everything's all right
It's all right tonight

(chorus)
It's all right tonight
No dogs in sight tonight
No need to hurry
No need to fight
Cause it's all right tonight

Little striped fur
Huddled on the ground
Grab a red dot
And chase it around
Sleeping in a lap
A stress-less mound
It's all right tonight

Two little cats
With a life so rough
Sleepin' all day
Then jumpin' on stuff
Not worried at all
If they have enough
It's all right tonight
